In the wintertime, the road is cleared of snow and there are some great walking and ski touring routes right on the doorstep. Just beyond the property, the road turns into a walking and 4x4 track.
The drive down to St Jean D'Aulps village, where there is a good selection of local shops, bars and restaurants, takes just 5 minutes. The nearest skiing is approx. 10 minutes from the chalet on the other side of the main village and skiing in the main linked Portes du Soleil area can be accessed via Morzine or Ardent, both of which are approx. 15 minutes away by car. Geneva airport is an hour and a half drive from the chalet.
