The number of new buildings and individual chalets have been carefully controlled and numerous zones have been designated as agricultural, in order to preserve and protect the land for the farmers. The past 5 years have seen a strong increase in the price of property in the area but this has now stabilised. The market here remains predominantly with French buyers.

The Espace Diamant offers great investment potential as the number of new developments will be limited and the area also benefits from the enviable reputation of near-neighbour Megève but without the exorbitant prices.
