Property Description

Perched on the side of Mont Chéry, just out of view and close to the forest, the Chalets du Mont Chéry are the envy of all. At the bottom of the plot, there are 2 chalets of 104m2 and 141m2 respectively. At the top, 3 chalets of 124m2 facing south are grouped together. At 5 minutes from the village centre and the slopes, they offer breathtaking views of the village, the surrounding mountain ranges and a quiet, private location. The 5 Chalets du Mont Chéry are located on the Route des Métrallins.

The architecture is typical of the mountain style of Les Gets and combines larch and traditional stone. The interiors are bright and the layout is thoughtfully designed to maximise living comfort. Each chalet has a spacious living room with a kitchen open to the living room with feature fireplace. Deep south facing terraces bring the outdoors inside, extending the living space. The bedroom area comprises 4 bedrooms, including one master suite.

Ideally located between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, Les Gets, at 1172m altitude, is the first resort of the Portes du Soleil. Les Gets retains an authentic charm, with a small village centre that is popular with families. It is a true two-season resort with a great winter season and a summer season driven by its mountain biking and hiking trails.

Les Portes du Soleil is one of the largest ski areas in Europe with 600km of skiing in 2 countries, including 34 green, 119 blue, 101 red and 32 black runs in total. Les Gets has over 100km of groomed ski runs, easily linking to the ski areas of Morzine and Avoriaz, and has a children’s ski area as well as runs for beginners and intermediate skiers. Les Gets is a favourite for families, with Morzine attracting more partygoers and Avoriaz the more experienced skiers.

The ski area of Mont Chéry is worth a visit, with a nice easy red run, and can be delightfully quiet. On the Chavannes side of Les Gets, you’ll find the new snowpark, miniboarder and boardercross run.

Les Gets has its own off-piste skiing. The area also offers great off-piste around Lindarets, Chatel and Linga. Prodains is the big gondola that takes you directly to Avoriaz from Morzine. There are some great runs in Avoriaz and it has an impressive snowpark and halfpipe. This is where the best snow is found. Avoriaz gives you easy access to Les Lindarets, which links Chatel and Switzerland.

The area shared between Les Gets and Morzine offers about 120km of runs, you can get a ski pass just for skiing in this area, recommended for beginners and intermediates, or a pass for the whole Portes du Soleil area, recommended for upper intermediates and above all giving you ideal flexibility for your skiing ambitions.

Les Gets is a true two-season resort as it offers a wide variety of activities during the summer months, driven by the mountain biking for which it is famous. Since its inception in the early 1990s, Les Gets has hosted a number of notable events including the World Championships and, along with the rest of the Portes du Soleil, has 600km of downhill and cross-country bike trails, all accessible with a single pass. Many road cyclists also come to enjoy the many climbs, including the Col de Joux Plane from Morzine to Samoens but also the Col de la Ramaz and the Col de Joux Verte, all regulars on the Tour de France.
